Shrinkage in milk production will become a challenge for the entire chain

15 May 2024 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

Rabobank expects milk production in Northwest Europe to decline between 13% and 20% in the coming years, it was recently indicated. The impact of this on the chain is significant and requires agility, especially from dairy processors. The position of the remaining farmer in the chain will actually become stronger, expects analyst Richard Scheper. In addition, it determines how quickly the volume decline occurs.
