The weather was downright summery last week. It is of course still a bit too early for the wheat harvest in Europe, but a start has been made with the winter barley. Last Friday, the first official figures from Ukraine were even released, with the warning that the Ukrainian grain harvest could turn out smaller than previously expected due to unfavourable weather during the growing season. In the US, the weather is actually cooperating. That is not necessarily favourable for the price of corn, however.
