There are still quite a few onions in the shed that will need to be used for potatoes later. Most have been sold, but not all. With the rain forecast for this weekend, some buyers think this could put some pressure on the onion market. Whether that will happen is another matter. Growers are in a pretty tight spot. Although buyers and sellers are close, both sides can easily let a deal fall apart on a cent or a half cent, whether for immediate delivery or for future business.
