February isn't usually the best month for the onion sector, and both growers and sorters know this. While there is onion supply, it's generally the kind with a story behind it. Growers with truly good, attractive, large onions are reluctant to sell at prices offered for immediate delivery. Some are willing to do something in the long term, but even then, the demand isn't exactly overwhelming.
