We have a relatively modern and efficient potato sector, but as a grower, you're not seeing much of that right now. Daily prices are, to put it mildly, nothing to write home about. Fortunately, many growers have at least some of their production under contract to ease the pain somewhat. Nevertheless, many growers feel the risks in the sector are unevenly distributed.
