Hard figures are difficult to obtain, but the vast majority of the onions are in the ground. Getting the sown onions above the ground properly is another matter. A crust or being sown not quite on firm soil means that the irrigation reel has already made its first passes for many growers. Meanwhile, the market for onions from the 2025 harvest remains a difficult one. There is a wide spread in both quality and price.
